Well, if you can't beat them, join them I suppose.  I broke down and made myself a tumblr and twitter account.  I just it's easier to post some sketches or wip on tumblr and I just thought I'd join twitter since all my friends have one lol.

Also, The Magdalena and the whitetail deer I made for Maximum Archery made it to videogame-art.com , all thanks to Mark Vik and Tito Belgrave from Ubisoft Toronto (thanks for making such awesome website).  You guys should check the website out if you haven't.  It's full of awesome art made by the talented people in the industry (very inspirational).

P.S. The website works best on firefox or on your tablet/smart phone.  Sometimes it'll give you issue on Chrome (they're already aware about the issue).

P.P.S. If you have Tumblr or Twitter account or both, post it or them here :).  Have a nice day!

Fantastic work, extremely inspirational! I love your work on Monsterology, I really like how low poly it is with such nice textures. I had a few questions about your work flow for mobile 3D assets, I'd love to pick your brain if you have the time! :D

For your low poly work on Monsterology, did you create the base meshes and hand paint them only? or did you utilize zbrush, retopologize and paint from there? Basically, I am curious as to your work flow for your low poly work. Also, do you have any tutorials on how you hand paint your textures? Do you prefer to texture in zbrush or in photoshop? I am currently trying to learn more about character modeling, both low poly and high poly. Thank you so much for your time!

For monsterology, I made the model in Maya and use ZBrush ZAppLink to paint the model. But now I spend more time texturing in photoshop since you can import your 3D object in PS. I still use ZBrush ZAppLink for some stuffs, like fixing the seam and painting fine details. As far as tutorial goes, I normally follow tutorials for digital painting since the basic technique is pretty similar (i.e. block in color and shading -> refine shape -> add finer details). I hope that helps :).
